Alexandrite (rough cuts from Tanzania)
Alexandrite is a stunning gemstone, and it's getting harder and harder to find genuine ones on the market as it becomes popular in jewellery. Many now are synthetically grown in a lab.
These five small pieces, each measuring between 0.5 and 0.8 cm in length, are genuine stones from Lake Manyara in Tanzania.
Alexandrite is a form of chrysoberyl, and is known for its mesmerising ability to change colour as the light also changes. Under daylight, these specimens are a beautiful deep sea-green, but under low or artificial light, they give off a purple hue. With the naked eye, under low light, they look like picture 4 (from the left) - a darker forest green - but the camera lens can only capture the purple as in pictures five and six.
Since these stones are so difficult to photograph, we've take a few different pictures holding the stones against different backgrounds and different levels of light. Note how the warmth of human skin tone brings out the deep green.
Metaphysical properties as used by Dianna: This seemingly magical stone unsurprisingly lends itself to magical qualities, too, when used in crystal and energy healing: the regeneration of the body, and the transformation of the mind and spirit - rebirth. A totally new you. It is a good stone when working with the adrenals and spleen, and symptoms of fatigue. It can help with adaptability during difficulties in life and periods of harsh conditions (including environmental conditions). Promotes faith in the universe. It can connect the heart chakra fully to the third eye and crown, and the soul star chakras - interdimensional travel is possible at this stage. Because these specimens are so small, I also suggest making elixirs / vibrational essences with them, and to take the essence as part of the stone's crystal healing.
The cost is for all five pieces pictured (we only sell them as five), and includes signed-for delivery to UK addresses.
